Mosaic Oasis Studio & Supply

Mosaics is a wonderful group activity and a great way to meet new people as well as to expand your artistic repertoire. Beginner & Beyond, otherwise known as "studio time", is a great way to work at our studio, we have a number of different options to suit your mosaic needs!

Prices include the cost of tile but does not include a substrate.  Studio time is the next step for those who have taken our one-time, Mosaic Taster Class and want to continue and improve their mosaic skills. If it is the first time in the studio, please call or email us first so we can help you get started.

If you are planning on a major project (table, backsplash) we recommend that you make an appointment with Suzanne ($50 for 1/2 hour) to go over some basic techniques and the time commitment of mosaics.  Certain projects may require an additional material fee or private lesson fee depending upon size and scope.

Advice on cutting techniques, surface preparations, design concepts, is part of studio time.  This is a rolling start and students can start on any date. 

We have three different ways that you can purchase studio time, we can help you decide what is best for you.

$20 per hour - this is for the occasional drop in or someone who wants to check out our studio. We cannot be responsible for projects left at the studio for more than 6 months if you stop coming into the studio.

$160 for 10 hours that must by used within one year.  This is based on $16 per hour and the hours can be carried over from month to month. As is our policy all materials except the substrate is included.  You can start at any time. We cannot be responsible for projects left at the studio for more than 6 months if you stop coming into the studio, or are not in touch with us.

$195  for 15 hours is geared to the mosaic artist who has a large project and knows she will be coming into the studio at least weekly.  This time must be used up within 60 days. This is a $13 per hour value.  As is our policy all materials except the substrate is included.  You can start and stop at any time. Sorry, hours cannot be carried over.  We cannot be responsible for projects left at the studio for more than 6 months if you stop coming into the studio, or are not in touch with us.

Mosaic Oasis will keep track of your time (hours), but we are not responsible for unused time left for longer than the prescribed time (1 year, 6 months).
